New Hope for the Chhim Family
 |

Chhim Thoeun and Sun Vay are a Cambodian couple who until recently lived on a combined $2 per day in a village in their native Cambodia. Times were desperate for them and their large family as they faced extreme poverty with no hope in sight. Finding food to eat was a daily struggle for survival requiring great sacrifices, and she feared that her children would have to drop out of the local school.
Operation Blessing in Cambodia heard about the Chhim family and came to their rescue in an effective yet unusual way – by providing them with a cow. The cow has been a blessing as a source of sustenance for the entire family in providing milk and cheese and a work animal for the fields. Chhim says this about OB Cambodia, “I’m so happy and I want to thank you so much for your love and caring for my family. I’ll take care of it (the cow) well. Thank you!” Thanks to the support of faithful partners, OB continues to bless families like the Chhims giving them a helping hand in times of need and hope for the future.
