700 Club Asia: An Unexpected Blessing

PHILIPPINES - For Melody of Cebu, Philippines, watching The 700 Club Asia has been part of her evening routine for several years. But she never expected that her late night pastime would change her life.
Melody was supposed to go to Dubai to find a better job, but she failed the required medical examination. The findings revealed that she suffered from an inflamed upper left lung.
“I was devastated upon seeing the results. There was so much disappointment,” said Melody. But one night, while watching The 700 Club Asia, she heard something surprisingly familiar.
“It was during the host’s prayer for the sick. I was surprised because he mentioned my illness: ‘a woman suffering from an inflamed upper left lung.’ I knew it was not a coincidence, so I claimed my healing right away!” A few days later, Melody went to the doctor to have her checkup and was amazed to see the results.
“There was no trace of inflammation in either of my lungs. It was a miracle!” exclaimed Melody, who could not contain her joy.
And that was just the start. She continued watching the show every night. “I would even text the prayer center to ask for prayer. My prayers are always answered, and it really brings me joy.”
Aside from her healing breakthrough, Melody also decided to fully commit her life to Jesus Christ and prayed along with the host on the show. Then prayer center referred her to a partner church in Cebu. Having a small group in church, Melody found new friends and confidantes.
“I found a second home in my church. I feel accepted and free to worship God. I so enjoy singing praise songs to God that I can’t help but cry during worship time in church,” she said in between sobs.
“Ever since I started attending church, I’ve grown and learned a lot. I started reading the Bible and discovered how God truly loves me. I also got rid of all the idols in my house,” she added.
“I also noticed that I became more forgiving and soft-hearted toward people who have hurt me,” shared Melody. “I used to go to albularyos (folk healers) to inflict curses on my enemies, and I regretted it. I repented from all my sins, and I know God has already forgiven me.”
Now that Melody knows who God really is, going to church has become a different kind of experience that she looks forward to every Sunday.
