CBN Operation Blessing Philippines
CBN.com – PHILIPPINES – Twenty-three schools in Manila graciously accepted sets of books given to them by Operation Blessing Philippines. The sets included 123 books, most of which were literary books, such as classic novels. However, inspirational books and illustrated children’s books were also included in the sets. The schools will use them to complement their libraries.
Children in the Philippines frequently play video games and go to Internet shops to play games on the Internet. The schools are hoping to encourage the children to return to the culture of book reading and experience the basic joys it brings. They also hope that the children will develop better reading comprehension with a renewed focus on reading books.
People who support CBN help children in the Philippines and all over the world to receive written materials and broadcast messages about God’s holy truths. One child who gains an understanding of the love of God through a library book donated by Operation Blessing can be a child God uses to bring many to know Him.
