Thailand - Operation Blessing has partnered in establishing a training facility called “Step Ahead” in Khao Lak, an area that was hit by the December 2004 tsunami. Offering courses in English, computers, hospitality, and tourism, the center teaches skills to further the careers of the tsunami survivors and boost their economic growth. To date, OB’s relief efforts have helped more than 850,000 people in areas devastated by the tsunami.
Medical treatment was provided to more than 180,000 victims and $27 million in medicine was supplied. Along with the construction of medical clinics, hundreds of new homes were built. Fogging machines were purchased for mosquito control and malaria prevention. Also,
micro-enterprise opportunities, such as brick factories and boat building projects, were created.

West Africa: Through our CBN WorldReach centers during the month, 26,616 people were presented the Gospel in 54 outreaches with 4,534 praying to receive Jesus as their Savior.
Fresh water wells were provided in 11 rural communities in Nigeria and Ghana with a combined population of about 10,500.
Our show 700 Club Nigeria is now broadcasting on 58 TV stations in Nigeria, four stations in Ghana, three stations in Liberia, and two stations in Sierra Leone. The program reaches an estimated audience of 40 million.
South Africa: At our media ministry centers during the month, 20,063 decisions for Christ were made through 141 events.

We are working on a new website for CBN Europe which includes fact sheets, newsletters, and streaming of the daily Euro 700 Club.
United Kingdom: Because a recent change in regulations now allows charities to fundraise on the air, we were permitted to broadcast a week of CBN’s telethon via Gospel Channel and Loveworld TV that covered Europe and beyond.
Romania: After torrential rains and strong winds caused massive flooding in the southern regions of Romania, we provided 1,000 bottles of clean water in the town of Tecuci. Clothes, shoes, rice, and toys were donated and a soup kitchen was established to help displaced people.

Medical checkups and treatment were given to 441 villagers in central and western China. Twenty-five cleft lip/cleft palate procedures and 10 cataract surgeries were completed. 140 cisterns were distributed in Gansu province benefiting 778 people.
A three-year anti-parasite campaign was launched that will impact 35,000 children in 52 primary schools in Hunan province.
A dedication ceremony at Hua Ao School was attended where we helped build their chemistry and physics laboratories.

The following programs air on Russian TV stations with a potential audience of approximately 68,335,000: Superbook Club, Flying House, Herbert, Story Keepers, One Cubed, How Then Shall We Live?, Answers, Kingsley’s Meadow, Phapahooey Island, Reflection, The 700 Club, and The House of Living Stories.
Clothes washing machines were donated to the Vorzel orphanage in Ukraine. Also, a movie projector was given to the Berdyansk orphanage.
As part of our MedEx program, medical kits were distributed to elderly people living in remote areas in Almaty, Kazakhstan. The kits contained blood pressure cuffs, stethoscopes, and medication.
Also, in Almaty, we are funding a swimming pool program for 40 children enrolled at a local school that specializes in hearing and speech impairments.

A total of 31,759 people responded to our weekly TV programs through calls, letters, and e-mail. 17,852 people viewed the Jesus film in 63 shows and 37 prayed for salvation.
Thirty-one fresh water bore wells were drilled in the states of Maharashtra and Andhra Pradesh, which benefitted 8, 150 people.
Dental, eye, and medical services were provided for 45, 059 people and 312 received glasses. Additionally, 1,252 HIV patients were provided medicine and counseling. Fifty cataract surgeries were completed and five cleft lip palate procedures were performed.
In south India, 460 young survivors of the 2004 tsunami were taught to read and write so they can qualify to attend school. Once they are enrolled in school, the literacy centers will serve as a support and coaching center three hours a day, five days a week. Also, backpacks that contained school uniforms, books, and hygiene supplies were given to the children.

Ecuador: Several One Cubed conferences were held in a state school in Quevedo. More than 1,000 young people and teachers attended and 700 of them accepted Jesus Christ as their Savior.
Peru: Three new shelters were opened in the city of Pisco, an area devastated by the recent earthquakes. 500 families will be given a place to live, food, and medical care for six months.
A medical outreach was held in the city of Ventanilla where 545 people were given check-ups and medicine. Also, Bibles were donated, and the Gospel was shared and 243 salvations resulted.
Costa Rica: Club 700 Hoy began broadcasting on Extra TV 42, marking the first time that the show is aired on a secular station in this country.
Brazil: A new host for the Portuguese version of Clube 700 is now on staff. In addition to having a special talent for television, she is one of the main vocalists of a worship ministry team that has great spiritual impact in Latin American countries.

The 700 Club counseling center received 7,537 calls and 12,972 text messages, and recorded 1,553 salvations during the month.
Over 8,000 Filipinos benefited from projects during the month which included scholarships, livelihood training, food distribution, and medical care. Also, health, nutrition, and financial management seminars were conducted. Through these outreaches, 4,340 people prayed to receive Jesus into their lives.
The 700 Club Asia is now broadcasting internationally reaching Japan, China, Malaysia, Myanmar, Mongolia, Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Thailand, Vietnam, Bangladesh, Bhutan, India, Sri Lanka, Afghanistan, Iran, Sudan, Ethiopia, Turkey, Saudi Arabia, Iraq, Italy, Egypt, and Poland.

Students at the Nohbo Bible School received instruction on Christian leadership which included topics of integrity and dependence on God. A workshop for children’s teachers was conducted that trained them in English lessons, songs, and Bible object lessons.
Our monthly feeding program at three orphanages benefited 164 children this month. Rice and cooking oil was provided along with money for their food budget.
