The 700 Club Hong Kong is known in Cantonese as "Sing Foh Fatong," which is loosely translated "Sparks Fly Upward." The show follows a 30-minute magazine format.
Each episode contains a brief videotaped background piece discussing a social problem relevant to the Hong Kong audience (such as drugs, prostitution, gambling or divorce).
The theme is also explored through a videotaped testimony telling how someone dealing with this problem found victory in Christ. Finally, the hosts interview a studio guest giving a Christian perspective to the social problem.
The program reaches approximately 180,000 people per week in Hong Kong, and it can be seen in Macau and the Chinese province of Guangdong by a further potential audience of 40 plus million.
