Desiring to be a blessing to the people of Andhra Pradesh, India , CBN launched Nireekshana to bring hope to the lives of one of the largest groups in South India - Telugu speakers.

Nireekshana, which means hope, has been on the air since 2000. The show is extremely popular among the people of Andhra Pradesh. They are able to identify themselves with the people portrayed in this program and are led to find solutions to their own problems through faith in Jesus Christ.

The 30-minute magazine format show deals with a contemporary issue in each episode.

These are the main segments:

Prajavani (Vox Pop): Cutting across people from all walks of life and all age groups, this segment gives people an opportunity to express their opinion and viewpoints on the topic of the day.

Maa Nireekshana (Our Hope): This segment showcases the lives of simple and ordinary Indians facing problems often larger than themselves but overcoming them with the hope and strength they find in Jesus Christ.

Cheyutha (Touching Lives): The work of Operation Blessing India, CBN’s humanitarian arm is being highlighted in this segment where the team shares God’s love by reaching out to the people of India and its neighbouring countries.

A prayer and altar call is also part of the program, which is then followed by gospel music videos of popular Christian artists.

There is a tremendous response to the show and it is highly appreciated by its viewers.
