CBN.com Dry bones are coming alive, just as in Ezekiel when God said He would breathe life into dry bones.

Well that’s what is happening with the Dry Bones Ministry at Lakewood Church of Christ in Denver, Colorado.

The downtown area seems to be a dumping ground for homeless teens. Many of these kids have been abused physically and mentally. The dry bones ministry reaches out to them right where they are and starts to build a relationship with them.

Ministry worker Matt Wallace says, “What the kids lack is love; they never had genuine love or relationships. We build trust and share love with them.”

The ministry team spends several days a week just hanging out and talking to these homeless teens. They also rent a pool hall for several hours each week to connect with the teens.

Bob, who uses to live in a tunnel for several years, says being homeless was a tough reality.

“I hated it,” he says. “I felt worthless, pretty much scared.”

But when God transforms their lives, little changes start taking place in them.

“Once they start letting us in, sharing their lives with us, then God can transform that old behavior and restore them,” says worker Susan Zimmerhackel.

Dry bones is bring life to the teens, providing a hot meal and a weekly Bible study and hope!

“It showed me that He didn’t judge me for what I had done. When I turned my back on Him, He still accepted me,” says Bob. “He was waiting for me.”

For reaching homeless teens through your Dry Bones Ministry, The 700 Club salutes you, Lakewood Church of Christ in Denver, Colorado.
