CBN.com – In the midst of life’s storms, these teenagers are finding shelter. Solid Rock Church in Monroe, Ohio, started Home for Life, which reaches out to pregnant teens.
Pastor Darlene Bishop says, “We have preached against abortion for so many years, but yet we see the churches lacking an alternative.”
That’s what this Home for Life does; it gives teenagers a different option.
Renee says, “I was missing school. I got pregnant. They thought [it would be] be better for me to come here and learn how to take care of my kid.”
Not only does the home take in pregnant teens, but they also house orphaned and homeless kids.
On resident says, “When I first came here I was going down the wrong path. I believed in God but didn’t live for him. Since I’ve been here, it’s changed my life. I’m serving God now.”
For the girls who are pregnant, the home teaches them life skills, character building, and how to take care of their babies if they choose to keep their children. The girls can also put their babies up for adoption.
