Darrell and Annie Parrish: Following God's Principles

By Dory Nissen
The 700 Club

CBN.comDarrell Parish is passionate about several things in his life.  Music is on of them and tithing is another.

“I give because I love to give Giving is a pleasure. I firmly believe that everyone on this planet should tithe.”

You can imagine how happy he was when he met his future wife annie, and learned she was tithing off of the profits of her retail store.

“She asked me my opinion and I said “keep it up, don’t stop”.  I’d rather give God the money than eat.”

So just where did Darrell get his strong convictions about tithing?

“When  you walked into my mother’s house, she would often have on Pat Robertson and it was kind of like the President of the United States.  You were not supposed to speak.  Pat Robertson is speaking thank you very much!”

Annie says she learned a lot from the 700 Club too.

“The 700 club was telling me things about God that I never knew. I learned about the gifts of the spirit. And it felt so good.  It felt so right.”

So CBN was a natural choice when the Parrish’s picked which organizations to support.

“I really believe you guys are always there on the scene first in so many countries.”

“When Gordon takes Terry’s hand.  Or Pat unites with the group.  You can just feel the anointing flowing.”

They relied heavily on prayer when Darrell was diagnosed with cancer.  And when he was cured he wrote a book about his journey.  The Parrish’s tell anyone who will listen, to follow god’s principle of tithing.

“You have to tithe.  What else is there?  So I challenge anyone to give.  Don’t even think I’m not going to give.  Think I’m going to give.  Because my Bible says to tithe.”
