Don Moen: Still Giving Thanks to the Lord
Don Moen's passion is simple: to design a worship experience that will take believers into the presence of Jesus. "I am thankful to God for calling me and trusting me to lead people into His presence," he says. "I can think of no higher calling." In ministry for nearly 30 years, Don is seeing his goal become more real with each new project. Don's newest release focuses on thankful worship that allows each listener to be personal and intimate with the Lord. Don says the first step to coming into His presence is thankfulness: "Enter His gates with Thanksgiving and His courts with praise." Simply saying thanks to the Lord is one of the most powerful concepts in worship.
Don wrote or co-wrote six of the 15 songs on Thank You Lord, including the title cut, which he wrote after asking the Lord for a "simple song of thanks" that people could sing to express the gratitude in their hearts. Other songs on the album include "Arise" (co-written with Paul Baloche), the English/Spanish "Mi Corazone" (co-written with producer David Hamilton) and "Jesus, You Are My Healer," which Don wrote for a friend, Carli, who was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. Carli was able to attend the album recording and continues to improve in spite of his diagnosis. Don asked the Lord, "Oh God, would you give me a song of healing for Carli?" This song was God's response.
Recorded live at the Regent University Performing Arts Center, Thank You Lord is the third Hosanna! Music album recorded by Integrity in partnership with CBN and Regent. It is also Don's 18th album for Integrity, dating back to Give Thanks, one of the early Hosanna! Music albums recorded in the mid 1980s when Don was on staff with the Terry Law Ministry. Don and his wife traveled behind the Iron Curtain and around the world with Terry Law. The Give Thanks album was eventually translated into eight languages, including French, German, Japanese, Spanish, and Russian and has sold more than 900,000 units.

Don serves as executive vice president/creative director of Integrity Media and is responsible for hundreds of projects each year. His passion is to create resources for the church that help people experience an "honest and intimate relationship with Jesus," which is his goal for Thank You Lord.
