Passion Conferences, sixstepsrecords Present the Chris Tomlin Indescribable Tour

With Louie Giglio, Matt Redman; Tour Launches Oct. 7 Nationwide

Featuring songs from Tomlin’s Arriving and Redman’s Blessed Be Your Name: Songs of Matt Redman Vol. 1, as well as powerful and encouraging messages from Giglio, the 26-city Indescribable Tour will impact such major markets as New York, Chicago, Houston, Atlanta, Grand Rapids, Sacramento and more. The tour is rooted in Passion’s collegiate movement that the New York Times calls “Christian Music’s New Wave.”

The tour takes its name from Tomlin’s radio single, “Indescribable,” from his widely acclaimed recording Arriving, which has sold well over 300,000 units. The song not only became Tomlin’s first No. 1 hit last fall, but remained on the Top 30 for a remarkable 50 weeks after releasing to radio July 16, 2004 and hitting No. 1 Oct. 10, 2004. Tomlin’s follow up single, “Holy Is The Lord,” also launched all the way to No. 1 last spring and is No. 7 this week, while his current single, “The Way I Was Made,” hit the R&R Christian Top 30 AC Monitored Chart last July, marking the first time ever for an artist to have three singles simultaneously on the chart.

One of the premier songwriters of today, Chris Tomlin is also known for writing “Forever,” “We Fall Down,” “The Wonderful Cross,” “Famous One” and more anthems sung by millions of people each week in churches around the world. Debuting at No. 39 on the Billboard Top 200, Arriving received a mention in USA Today for its sales success, was given a four-out-of-four star review by Knight Ridder News Service and was a top pick for favorite worship album of the year by ChristianityToday.com. The album also garnered Tomlin his first GMA Music Award for Praise & Worship Album of the Year in April and was voted best album in the 2005 Christian Retailing Retailers Choice Awards’ Music category in July. A passionate communicator and innovative thinker, Louie Giglio is the founder of Passion Conferences, a collegiate movement calling people around the world to lives that make much of God. Redman released his first collection of key worship songs last month, Blessed Be Your Name: Songs of Matt Redman Vol. 1. The live recording is a compilation of Redman’s top CCLI songs together for the first time. Seven songs on Blessed Be Your Name currently appear on the Top 200 CCLI chart, including “The Heart of Worship,” “Better Is One Day” and “Let Everything That Has Breath.” Also featured on the project is the title track “Blessed Be Your Name,” which earned Redman his first GMA Music Award this year for Worship Song of the Year.
