DecembeRadio to Join Third Day on Spring Tour

– BRENTWOOD, Tenn. – Slanted Records’ recording artists and GRAMMY© Award nominees DecembeRadio recently announced their plans to travel this spring alongside Third Day on the first leg of the veteran band’s 2008 tour. The tour, which also features bands Sanctus Real and Revive, will begin in Charleston, SC, on March 6, and will run through early April.
DecembeRadio, Rock Album of the Year winners at the 2007 GMA DOVE Awards, are currently making waves at radio as well with their new single “Find You Waiting” bounding up the charts. The song, penned by the band’s members (Josh Reedy, Brian Bunn, Eric Miker and Boone Daughdrill) along with producer Scotty Wilbanks, landed at #26 for the week according to the R&R AC monitor charts and was listed as “new and active” by the R&R AC Indicator stations.
Adding to the national buzz this week at radio, leading AC station KSBJ in Houston, Texas, added “Find You Waiting” after an overwhelming response from listeners nationwide, rating the song as one of the top three best-testing songs (behind only Casting Crowns’ and Chris Tomlin’s latest singles). “Find You Waiting” also climbed to #11 on the R&R CHR chart with new adds at KZZQ in Des Moines and at WBVM in Tampa, Fla., this week.
"DecembeRadio has managed to bridge the gap between a modern sound and a classic rock sound,” described Travis Culver, of KTSY in Boise, ID. “‘Find You Waiting’ is just such an example. A blend of ‘power ballad meets introspective anthem,’ it’s already one of the most popular songs here at the station after only a few weeks. Since that almost never happens here, it says something about this song and the band's ability to connect."
The song is a special addition to the band’s debut DecembeRadio, Expanded Edition, which also features bonus material including an acoustic video performance of the band’s DOVE-nominated song of the year “Drifter.”
