Superchick Headlines 'Live Love Tour' This Fall
Band to be Joined by Sanctus Real, John Reuben, and Last Tuesday

– (NASHVILLE, Tenn.) Aug. 28, 2006—Columbia/Inpop Records group Superchick sets out this fall on the “Live Love Tour” joined by rock band Sanctus Real, rapper John Reuben, and emerging artist Last Tuesday.
Opening in Lake Ann, MI on Oct. 5, the tour will visit more than 35 cities through early December.
“We’re really excited about touring with three of our favorite bands Sanctus Real, John Reuben and one of the most entertaining up and coming acts Last Tuesday,” says Superchick bassist Matt Dally. “Not only will it be fun, but we’re looking forward to seeing lives change which is the ultimate goal of this tour.”
Chicago-based Superchick is comprised of sisters Tricia Brock (vocals) and Melissa Brock (vocals, guitar), Matt Dally (bass, vocals), Dave Ghazarian (lead guitar, vocals), Brandon Estelle (drums, vocals), and Max Hsu (keyboards/DJ). With five projects to date, Superchick has sold upwards of 450,000 albums. Superchick’s sound—a sophisticated blend of crunchy guitars, savvy turntablism, silky smooth harmonies and unforgettable hooks meshed with honest lyrics reflecting introspection as well as personal empowerment—has brought the group burgeoning popular success. From the declaration of “One Girl Revolution” in 2001’s Legally Blonde, to “Anthem” roaring through MTV’s Real World/Road Rules Challenge: The Gauntlet 2 and “It’s On” powering NBC’s promotional spots for the 2006 Winter Olympics, music from Superchick has been heard in more than 60 different films and television shows. Among those are The Practice, Alias, Felicity, Joan of Arcadia, Legally Blonde 2, Ice Princess, and Confessions of a Teenage Drama Queen. Currently, Superchick’s “It’s On” is featured in the climatic battle scene of Columbia Picture’s Zoom, starring Tim Allen, which opened Friday, Aug. 11.The supergroup’s kinetic youth quake energy has also been picked up by the gaming community and is prominently featured on Electronic Arts’ video game “NFL Street 3.” With literally hundreds of live performances on the group’s resume, Superchick has developed a well-deserved reputation as an incandescent and charismatic pop/rock phenomenon. Radio & Records’ most played Christian rock band of 2004 and recipient of 2005’s Modern Rock Album of the Year GMA Music Award, Sanctus Real, released its third national studio album, The Face of Love, April 4 to wide critical acclaim. Inspired by real-life heartache and rediscovered joy, the emotions behind each track on The Face of Love are vulnerable and undisguised, making this album the band’s most accessible project of their career and exhibiting the band’s progression both musically and lyrically. The debut radio single from the album and the band’s first MTV featured video, “I’m Not Alright,” launched to No. 1 and stayed on top for six full weeks. The song is the latest in a string of No. 1 hits that have included “Everything About You,” “The Fight Song” and its cover of U2’s “Beautiful Day.” The band’s second single and title track to The Face of Love released this summer and has already become a multi-format hit. Emcee John Reuben has five albums to his credit including the self-released debut EP, Monuments which caught the attention of Gotee Records. Subsequently the rap releases Are We There Yet? (2000), Hindsight (2002), Professional Rapper (2003), and The Boy VS The Cynic (2005) followed with much critical-acclaim. Currently Reuben is in the studio working on his next yet-to-be-titled release for an early 2007street date. His extensive touring background include shows in North and South America, Europe, and India alongside artists such as Relient K, Toby Mac, Five Iron Frenzy, Out of Eden, the Supertones, and Pillar.
Touring non-stop, and playing more than 200 shows a year, Mono vs Stereo punk band, Last Tuesday, has definitely earned the title of hardest working band. So far this year, the foursome has been on three major tours across the US, played the summer festival circuit and crossed the pond twice for short tours through Europe and Germany. Become What You Believe, the band’s fifth album (second for MvS), hit stores in mid-August and is already making waves around the country.
