Gas prices are going up another five cents per gallon, a total increase of 26 cents in just six weeks.

Billings, Mont., had the lowest average at $3.18 per gallon, according to a survey released March 23. Los Angeles had the highest price at $4 a gallon.

The average price of a gallon of midgrade is $3.74, while premium and diesel averaged $3.89 and $4.02, respectively.

According to AAA, gas prices typically go up this time of year as refineries undergo seasonal maintenance. But tensions surrounding the crisis in Ukraine could also be causing concern over crude oil prices.
