Republicans have a new House Majority Leader today.
They elected Rep. Kevin McCarthy, R-Calif., to replace Rep. Eric Cantor, who is resigning his post since his surprise defeat by a Tea Party contender in the Virginia GOP primary earlier this month.
McCarthy served under House Speaker John Boehner and Cantor as Majority Whip, so he's moving from the number three slot to number two in the House.
Some Republicans are skeptical of McCarthy, unsure that he will vigorously pursue a conservative agenda.
