Trump Calls Clinton a 'Liar' for Her ISIS Accusations
Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton is being called out for telling a tall tale about Donald Trump in Saturday's Democratic debate.
"He is becoming ISIS's best recruiter. They are going to people showing videos of Donald Trump insulting Islam and Muslims in order to recruit more radical jihadists," Clinton claimed.
But an Associated Press Fact Check shows Clinton had no evidence to back up her claim that the Islamic State group is using video of Donald Trump to recruit Muslims to its cause.
Trump has responded saying, "She just made it up. I mean she made it up. It was a sound bite."
And he told NBC's "Meet the Press" that Clinton "lies like crazy about everything, whether it's trips where she was being gunned down in a helicopter or an airplane, she's a liar and everybody knows that. But she just made this up in thin air."
On Sunday a Clinton spokeswoman defended her, admitting the campaign was not aware of any particular ISIS video showing Trump, but arguing the terror group is using Trump somewhere on social media for propaganda.
