About 16,000 students and ministry leaders will attend this year's Urbana 15, one of the world's largest missions conferences.
The meeting started Sunday and will go until New Year's in St. Louis. Attendants will focus on where God is working in the world and where they might fit in.
Urbana takes place every three years and for this year's conference, there's a new category: Urbana's first ever hackathon.
"The Urbana 15 hackathon is a great opportunity to explore technology's place in God's mission and discern how your skills and interests can be used to serve God's kingdom around the world," the Urbana website states.
"Hack4Missions is for those skilled in software development, computer programming, visual and user experience, design, project management, or interactive media discerning how God might use their skills to debug global issues," Urbana officials explained. "At Urbana 15 you'll prototype new ideas and create real-time solutions for missions organizations while receiving mentoring from technology and missions experts."
