OK Wesleyan U. President: 'This is Not a Day Care!'

Oklahoma Wesleyan University President Everett Piper had a message for his students.
"This is not a day care. It's a university!" the president admonished in a blog posted on the school's website.
Piper wrote the blog after a student complained he felt "victimized" by a teaching in chapel on 1 Corinthians 13, saying it made him feel bad for not showing love.
"I'm not making this up. Our culture has actually taught our kids to be this self-absorbed and narcissistic," Piper wrote.
Victimization, he explained, is the wrong response to uncomfortable feelings.
"If you want the chaplain to tell you you're a victim rather than tell you that you need virtue, this may not be the university you're looking for," he said.
Piper noted that the university is not a "safe place," but rather a place to learn that life isn't about you but about others.
"This is a place where you will quickly learn that you need to grow up," he said.
