P. Parenthood Dismisses 4th Video as Misleading

Planned Parenthood, the nation's largest abortion provider, is fending off attacks from yet another undercover video showing representatives bartering over unborn baby parts.

The fourth and latest video released by the Center for Medical Progress is just as gruesome as the others. It shows Dr. Savita Ginde, vice president and medical director of Planned Parenthood of the Rocky Mountains, literally picking through the body parts of an 11-week-old fetus.

"Here's the stomach, heart, kidney, adrenal. I don't know what else is in there…tiny," she says.

Ginde said she'd rather sell the unborn baby's organs piece by piece, rather than as a whole.

"I think the per-item thing works a little better just because we can see how much we can get out of it," she says.

With regard to the appearance of selling body parts, she prefers the contract be written up in the name of research rather than a business venture.

"Putting it under the research gives us a little bit of a, a little sort of overhang over the whole thing," she says. "It makes it look better, yeah."

"And in public I think it makes a lot more sense for it to be in the research vein than, I'd say, business venture because if you have someone in a really anti [abortion] state that's going to be doing this for you, they're probably going to get caught," she explains.

Meanwhile, Republican lawmakers on Capitol Hill are pushing a bill to defund Planned Parenthood, a measure the White House does not support. Nevertheless, proponents are hoping they will have enough backing to bring it to a vote as early as Monday.

"This is an issue about our humanity," said Sen. Tim Scott, R-S.C. "I was saddened, brought to tears by the videos. Without any question, I think the right thing to do is to defund Planned Parenthood."

For now, the House has gone home for August recess, but there is plenty of opposition there as well.

"I think whether you are pro-life or you are pro-choice, this despicable film that shows the inhumanity that was caught on this video, the cavalier way that a doctor who takes an oath to preserve life can talk about life in the way they did, this should make people just outraged," Rep. Diane Black, R-Tenn., said.

"It doesn't matter whether you're a Democrat or a Republican, pro-life or pro-choice," she continued. "They should be outraged by what's going on. And they should be calling for an investigation."

For its part, Planned Parenthood, whose website went down, continues to say it's done nothing wrong and calls the latest evidence another misleading and deceptively edited video.

"We have and will always follow the law, and patients are always our highest priority," the organization claims.
