FBI Hacks iPhone, Drops Lawsuit Against Apple

The legal showdown between Apple and the FBI is officially over after the intelligence agency successfully hacked into the iPhone of one of the San Bernardino terrorists.

The FBI could not force Apple to help them break into the phone of San Bernardino terrorist Syed Farook, so the agency turned to a mysterious third party for help.

That third party bypassed the phone's security, allowing the FBI to access data on the device.

The FBI will now drop the lawsuit it filed to force Apple to help.

Agents are now analyzing the phone's information retrieved in hopes of uncovering more information about the December terrorist attack that left 16 people dead.
