An Iranian court sentenced Pastor Benham Irani to an additional six years in prison, according to Present Truth Ministries

Pastor Benham, 43, began serving a six-year sentence in May 2011. He must now serve a total of 12 years for supposedly committing crimes against the Iranian National Security.

That's the charge the Islamic Republic of Iran gives to Christians arrested for evangelizing and operating illegal house churches.

Present Truth says the pastor is expected to be moved to a prison that houses drug smugglers.

Pastor Benham's wife, Kristina, is an Armenian Christian. They have two children: Rebecca, 11, and Adriel, 5.
