Spanish and Moroccan police have arrested four suspected members of a jihadi cell that sought to recruit fighters for ISIS.

Moroccan officials say one of the men is a former Guantanamo Bay detainee who fought with al Qaeda in Afghanistan.

They did not provide his name or information about his release from Guantanamo but described him as "a leader who was trained in handling weapons, explosives and in military tactics."

The four suspects had formed a group to recruit terrorists to join the Islamic State in Iraq and Syria, as well as to carry out attacks in Spain and Morocco.
