CBN.com CINCINNATI, OH (ANS) -- Steven James is one of the nation's most innovative storytellers. He appears weekly at conferences, churches, schools, and special events around the country sharing his unique blend of drama, comedy, and inspirational speaking.

Steven James is the author of twelve books and has spoken more than 1000 times all across North America in the past five years. When he completed his Master's Degree in Storytelling in 1997, there were fewer than 100 people in the world with the same degree. Since then, he has been in demand throughout the country as a conference presenter, family entertainer, youth speaker, and performance storyteller.

Drawing from a diverse background in the performing arts and education, James weaves together programs that touch both the mind and the heart. His latest book, Praying From the Gut from Standard Publishing proves to offer honest insight to teens in a practical and relevant style. Through his writing and speaking, he has creatively communicated a message of hope and humor to more than 500,000 people over the last decade.

One example of his effective communication and storytelling skills are presented in Praying From the Gut.

James reveals that today's young adults today are spiritually hungry. He says that they want to know God in an intimate way, and they want to experience His power.

Praying From the Gut is a prayer journal for teens that shows the importance of being honest for God. It demonstrates that honesty is accessible to today's teens. He said telling God anything and everything means to "pray from the gut."

When James is not busy writing he is making appearances at numerous events and conferences.
