Dear Friend,

You may have heard my dad tell the story of how Regent University came to be.

Forty years ago, sitting down to a breakfast of cantaloupe and cottage cheese, he heard the Lord speak to his heart, “I want you to buy the land and build a school for My glory.”

That was the confirming word from the Lord to move ahead and acquire the property on which Regent University now stands. Through the ensuing 40 years, God has built an incredible school whose purpose of “Christian Leadership to Change the World” is bringing glory and honor to the Lord’s name.

Today, there are now 25,900 alumni of Regent University. Regent has helped prepare 857 pastors, 37 missionaries, 10 presidents of educational institutions, and at least 56 sitting judges in courts all over America. Many alumni are elected officials in various jurisdictions, and nearly 900 serve as faculty at 445 prestigious colleges and universities across the country. Six of the law school graduates are now serving as assistant counselors to the president of the United States.

During the last several years, Regent has added close to 70 course specialties. And, Regent University has been named by the National Security Agency as a Center of Academic Excellence in cyber defense education.

For the first time in its 40-year history, Regent University placed in the National Universities category of the U.S. News & World Report’s “2019 Best Colleges” rankings.

In short, God continues to bless Regent University through the dedicated work of the faculty, staff, and generous supporters. And now there are areas of opportunity before Regent for even greater growth and success.

I would like you to join me in honoring my dad as the father of Regent University. Would you please make a special gift for Regent as a way to express your appreciation to my dad for his years of service to such an extraordinary school?

Thank you for your help. Your kindness and support will never be forgotten. God bless you!

signed, Gordon Roberston
