Mom, since I was a young girl, you’ve shown me and my brother, Emmanuel (E.T.), how to live with what we have. We cannot miss what we’ve never had. You have been the perfect role model. You’ve accomplished many things. Your favorite saying is “God doesn’t like ugly.” It helped to keep us in line.
