CBN.com — Arman, 9, likes helping his parents at the brick factory where they work, better than playing with the kids from school. His classmates make fun of him because of his cleft lip.
"It made me want to cry," said Arman.
It has been hard for Arman's mom to help her son cope with the verbal abuse at school.
"He told me, 'The mean kids call me names.' I told him to fight back, but he said he doesn't want to," Arman's mother, Enoc, told CBN.
Enoc and her husband couldn't afford the cost of an operation.
"We were very happy and excited when we learned that CBN would provide free surgery for Arman," said Enoc.
"I am ready to go in for my operation!" added Arman.
The CBN-sponsored surgery provided a brand new smile for Arman. Within a few weeks, he was back in school.
"I was very surprised to see my lip. I was very happy," he said.
"He's not shy anymore. I see he looks more confident now," added his mom.
"Thanks to you, my lip looks great!" said Arman.
