You Can Love Your Work

Hyderabad, India - Four years ago, Suryakumari's husband died of AIDS and left her infected with HIV. She didn't know how she would support her two children.

"I didn't have anyone to help me," says Suryakumari. "I just depended on Jesus and put everything in His hands."

She got a job at a tailoring shop, but she didn't make much money. And with no proper HIV treatment, her condition got worse. Then her eyesight also began to fail, because of cataracts.

"I was often very sick and would throw up," says Suryakumari. "I found it difficult to thread the needle. And I couldn't read the bus names to cath the right ones to work. And when I didn't go to work, I wouldn't get paid."

One day a lady tolde her about CBN's Operation Blessing's HIV clinic. Suryakumari received free exams, medicines, monthly food rations, and Christian counseling.

"When they spoke to me, they were very loving, kind and supportive," says Suryakumari. "They made me feel like I was normal, instead of an outcast because of my HIV.

Doctors then scheduled her for free cataract surgeries.

"I felt God heard me," sasy Suryakumari. "I prayed on Sunday and went to the Operation Blessing clinic on Monday. My surgery was done that very same week."

When the bandages were removed, she could see clearly! And when Operation Blessing visited her home, they surprised her with a brand new sewing machine. Her children knew that your gifts gave their mom her renewed health, her sight, and the tools she needed to support their family.

"I want to thank Operation Blessing for everything they have done for us," says Suryakumari's daughter, Prasanna. "I give bunche and bunches of thanks to God for sending you."

"I am so delighted," says Suryakumari. "With the sewing machine, I can earn more and give my children a better life. My heartfelt thanks to Operation Blessing."
