CBN.com — Four-year-old Nizole is the youngest of her five siblings. Her father died when she was very young, leaving their family with no one but their mother to take care of them.

"Nizole was too young to understand what had happened," says her sister. "She didn't know where he had gone."

While Nizole's brothers and sisters went to school, she spent the day with her mother, who sold candy on the street and at schools.

"I had no one who could take care of her, so she went everywhere with me," says Nizole's mother, Nosiseko. "I sell my things close to the road, so while I was serving customers she would wander off."

Sometimes Nizole stayed home, where a cousin was supposed to take care of her. But one day little Nizole walked out of the house and wandered the streets alone. She was found by a caregiver from a children's center supported by CBN's Orphan's Promise. Today, Nizole is one of 30 kids sponsored by Orphan's Promise to come to this daycare center for free.

"Before she went to the daycare, she used to be very shy, but now Nizole plays with the other children," says Nizole's sister.

"Now that I know my daughter is safe, I get all my work done more quickly," says Nosiseko. "When I get home, we spend quality time together."

Nosiseko recently ran out of candy and cookies to sell, so we gave her new stock and enough food to get ahead. We also gave them new warm clothes for the coming winter.

"I thank God for seeing our struggle and helping us," says Nosiseko.
