CBNNews.com - More than 100 passengers aboard a U.S. Airways flight from New Orleans were quarantined at Charlotte-Douglas International Airport Friday after a man claimed he had exposed everyone to smallpox.
The flight had just landed at the airport when the passenger made the claim, which was later proved false.
As a precaution, all 113 passengers aboard Flight 1014 remained quarantined until the threat could be confirmed or disproved.
The passenger who made the claim was taken to an isolation room at Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte where he tested negative for the disease.
There is no word on why the passenger made the claim.
