Mitt Romney's New TV Ad

When America gets a hold of Mitt Romney, will he take off and become the front runner? Movement is already taking place in the key states of Iowa and New Hampshire where they know him already. Now, the Romney team has come out with a couple of Romney commercials that play up his conservative credentials.
Here's what the announcer says in his most recent commercial:
"In the most liberal state in the country, one Republican stood up and cut spending, instead of raising taxes.He enforced immigration laws, stood up for traditional marriage and the sanctity of human life. In the toughest place, Mitt Romney's done the toughest things."
So will the McCain camp will have a few problems with this ad? McCain's campaign aides believe Romney has flip flopped so much it's pretty remarkable. Romney's camp says no way, that the principles Romney talks about today are the same principles he believes today.
The ads Romney are running are crucial to defining him. Will people believe them? Will they trust him? Romney's team is doing the right thing by running ads like this early in the process. They must define him before others do. As I cover this race, it has been my observation that after Hillary Clinton, Mitt Romney is the one most targeted by rival camps. Yes, even more than Giuliani. Why? Because there's a feeling that Giuliani will eventually flame out on his own because of his public positions. Romney, on the other hand is considered a major threat because of his appeal to true conservative voters. Comments?
