John Edwards to Brody File: On Hillary's Integrity

Monday in Nashua, New Hampshire I sat down with presidential candidate John Edwards. We met in a tiny little room right next to where he was about to do a town hall meeting. Video of the interview will be available later today. The full piece for television will air the week of December 3.
Clinton relentlessly for awhile now. He keeps saying the attacks aren't personal but by questioning her trustworthiness, is he saying she lacks integrity? Read below:
Brody: Let me ask you about Hillary Clinton because you've been very outspoken with the lobbying issue with her and some other issues as well, maybe some flip, flops and certain issues. You've also said it's not personal with her at the same time when you say those types of things it does go to the integrity issue about her, about what she stands for, if she's not saying certain things in different ways. Does she have an integrity problem in your mind?
Edwards: I think that everyone of us are going to be judged, not just Senator Clinton, but myself, Senator Obama, all of us and the Republicans are going to be judged based upon whether we can be trusted, whether we appear to be sincere, whether we have integrity. I think it's crucial at this moment in American history that the American people have a president they can trust -- even if they disagree with the president. And I think everyone of us, every time I do an event, in New Hampshire - where we are today, or in Iowa, or one of the early states where you stand in front of people, look them in the eye, and have to answer their questions, every time those voters are judging whether they can trust you or not. And what I'm saying is for our country, it is crucial that we chose someone that is trustworthy.
And I'm just saying that test ought to be applied to every one of us. It ought to be applied to Senator Clinton. It also ought to be applied to me.
Brody: Do you believe then that she can be trusted?
Edwards: I believe I can, and I'm going to let the American people make their own judgment about her.
