Kibaki & Odinga to Meet
January 7, 2008
Kenya's President Mwai Kibaki and opposition leader Raila Odinga are agreeing to meet. This is a big deal!
Read the whole story from the New York Times.
The NYT piece also has fresh information from the town of Eldoret where a few days ago a church filled with women and children was burned to the ground.
On another note, I received an anonymous comment from an Africa Matters reader in Sweden. He says:
"Prayers to the people of Kenya in their fight against Kibaki. May you stand on the top of Mt. Kenya and on the heights of Uhuru Park with the Kenyan flag held even higher. Justice shall prevail."
