Heather Sells enjoys reporting on a wide variety of issues for CBN. Some of her recent stories have focused on technology, AIDS, overseas missions, domestic trafficking, and politics. She also anchors periodically on Newswatch.
Heather joined CBN News in August 2005. She has worked inTV news markets across the country as a reporter, producer, and assignment editor. She graduated from Wheaton College in 1987 with a B.A. in Political Science and from the University of Illinois-Springfield in 1993 with an M.A. In Public Affairs Reporting.
Heather began her news career reporting for City News Bureau in Chicago in 1988. She started in television news as a producer at KCRG-TV in Cedar Rapids, Iowa in 1989. She then worked for KBAK-TV in Bakersfield, California as an assignment editor and on the assignment desk for KTLA-TV in Los Angeles. After receiving her masters degree she began work as a reporter/anchor at KVII-TV in Amarillo, Texas.
Sells has also worked as the marketing manager for the Amarillo Globe-News in Amarillo, Texas and in public relations for Copley Chicago Newspapers.
After living in Honduras in 2001 and 2002, Heather developed a heart for social justice issues in Latin America. She has worked extensively with an AIDS clinic in Honduras and with the International Justice Mission in Peru.
Heather and her husband Jim live in Chesapeake, Virginia with their three children.
