As a correspondent based in the nation's capital, John Jessup covers everything from Washington politics to the economy to the latest in weather. His responsibilities include filing news stories for the 700 Club, Newswatch, and anchoring Newsbreaks for affiliates across the country.
John's work in broadcast has earned him several awards in reporting, producing, and coordinating elections coverage. Since he joined CBN News, he has reported from a number of places, including parts of Mississippi, Louisiana, and Texas affected by Hurricane Katrina. John also traveled to Guantanamo Bay, Cuba during the height of allegations of detainee abuse.
Before making the move to Washington, he reported and produced for NBC affiliates in Arkansas and Missouri. He also worked as an intern at NBC's London Bureau. John graduated with a broadcast journalism degree from the University of Missouri and is affiliated with the National Association of Black Journalists and the Asian American Journalists Association.
