The Food and Drug Administration has approved the first prescription drug made using 3D printing.

The drug is called Spritam, a dissolvable tablet that treats seizures in adults and children.

The company that created the drug says it dissolves faster than traditional medication.

Researchers say they plan to develop other medications using 3D printing in coming years.
