A sixth person has died from the Middle East Respiratory Syndrome, or MERS, in South Korea.

A total of 87 people have been infected with MERS in the country since last month. This is the largest outbreak outside the Middle East.

Meanwhile, schools in Seoul are taking preventative measures. More than 1,800 schools have closed, and those that remain open are monitoring students and advising them to use face masks and hand sanitizers.

More than 2,000 people are in isolation in their homes or state-run facilities after having contact with patients infected with the virus.
