JERUSALEM, Israel -- Israeli security forces, aided by local residents, captured two Palestinian Arabs stalking a community near its security fence on Tuesday, one armed with a knife.

The two men planned to carry out a stabbing attack on residents of Tekoa in Gush Etzion.

One detainee, Muhammed Abu Eisha, is the nephew of Amar Abu Eisha, suspected in the kidnapping and murder of three Israeli teenagers, Gilad Sha'ar, Naftali Frankel, and Eyal Yifrah, last June. Abu Eisha was killed in a firefight resisting arrest by Israeli security forces in September.

On Monday, the IDF raised the security alert in the P.A.-controlled city of Hebron after two Arab families reported their children had been missing since Friday.

Israeli forces remain on high alert following a supermarket shooting on December 3 in Mishor Adumim, a community near Jerusalem, and a planned stabbing attack by a teenage Arab girl at the Cave of the Patriarchs in Hebron.
