Netanyahu: Nuclear Iran Bigger Problem than ISIS

JERUSALEM, Israel -- A nuclear-armed Iran is a far more dangerous threat to the world than the Islamic State, but to Israel, it's an even a greater threat, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said.

"This threat is grave to all of us, far more than the threat of the Islamic State group," he said. "Today we are facing the danger of an agreement that would leave Iran as a nuclear threshold state with thousands of centrifuges with which it could produce material for a nuclear bomb within a short period of time."

Netanyahu's many warnings appear to have fallen on deaf ears.

The Obama administration reportedly has relinquished its demand that Iran dismantle its centrifuges used to enrich low-grade uranium, a demand Iran has refused all along.

A New York Times report published Monday says President Barack Obama plans to bypass Congress and sign a final deal with Iran.

The Times quotes a senior White House source who reportedly said the administration would not seek congressional representation.

"President Obama will do everything in his power to avoid letting Congress vote on 'an agreement with the Islamic Republic as both lawmakers expressed opposition and journalists pressed for clarification,'" the report stated.

In a related matter, International Atomic Energy Agency chief Yukiya Amano said Iran continues denying access to facilities suspected of being used to develop nuclear weapons. Amano said the IAEA has made "little headway in an inquiry into suspected bomb research," Reuters reported.

Meanwhile, E.U. Foreign Policy Chief Baroness Catherine Ashton said she'll continue to participate in negotiations with Iran even after the Nov. 24 deadline until there's a final agreement. Ashton's tenure as E.U. chief ends next month.
