Presidential hopeful Carly Fiorina is now in second place among the Republican field of candidates, according to a new CNN poll.

Her strong performance during the second GOP presidential debate gave her a 3 percent boost, bringing her support base up to 15 percent.

It's also helping her close the gap with Donald Trump, whose lead has shrunken to 24 percent, an 8 percent drop from earlier this month.

The news comes as Fiorina is challenging President Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton to watch the undercover videos of Planned Parenthood executives haggling over aborted baby parts.

"I will continue to dare anyone who wants to continue to fund Planned Parenthood, watch the videotapes," the former Hewlett Packard CEO told "Fox News Sunday" host Chris Wallace. "And anyone who wants to challenge me first is going to have to prove to me that they watched it."

On Sunday, Clinton said she has seen parts of the videos but criticized the footage for being "misleadingly edited."

She then defended the abortion giant from Republicans who expressed willingness to shut down the government if necessary in order to take away the group's taxpayer funding.

"To shut down the government - which some Republicans are advocating - over funding for Planned Parenthood, which takes care of millions of women's health needs, is just the height of irresponsibility," Clinton charged.

Planned Parenthood receives more than $500 million a year in taxpayer funding.
