The legendary highlands of northern Scotland, with its crumbling castles and scenic lakes, witnessed an unusual series of events during the month of June, as 100 churches joined forces to attract young people back to Christianity.
"We have kids that are lost and have no hope, and if we can reach them, and if that means changing some of our methods, then by God's grace we'll do that," Graham Swanson pastor of Elgin Baptist Church said.
One hundred churches in eight towns and villages worked with the Luis Palau Evangelistic Team, drawing young people to events filled with family fun and music. And a new generation of preachers, including Palau's son Andrew, delivered an invitation to follow Christ.
The meetings concluded with festival rallies in the city of Inverness. The Palau association estimates that since 1999 their festivals have taken the gospel to as many as eight million people in different parts of the world.
