GOP Lawmakers Condemn Christian Persecution

Members of Congress are speaking out for persecuted Christians.

Two Republican lawmakers gave Ash Wednesday speeches condemning widespread attacks against Christians worldwide, especially in the Middle East.

Rep. Bradley Byrne, R-Ala.,  said the United States should condition aid to countries like Iraq and Egypt on their treatment of religious minorities.

Meanwhile, Rep. Frank Wolf, R-Va., asked American Christians to show more support for suffering believers.
