The United States could suffer a nationwide blackout if just nine power substations were sabotaged on a hot summer day.
That blackout could last weeks, if not months, according to a federal study reported by the Wall Street Journal.
It would only take coordinated attacks in the country's three separate power systems to knock out the entire network, according to people familiar with the study.
On Monday, The 700 Club will have a special report on what could happen if terrorists attacked the American power grid. Check your local listings or show times.
