A group of nuns must choose to violate their faith or pay massive IRS penalities if they dont provide contraceptives.

The 10th U.S. Court of Appeals ruled against The Little Sisters of the Poor, saying that participating in the government contraception plan is "easy."

"We simply cannot choose between our care for the elderly poor and our faith. And we should not have to make that choice, because it violates our nation's commitment to ensuring that people from diverse faiths can freely follow God's calling in their lives," Mother Provincial Loraine Marie Maguire said.

Maguire added that the nuns should have the religious freedom to continue serving the neediest in society, as they have done for more than 175 years, without government intrusion.

The Sisters and their attorneys will decide whether they will seek relief from the U.S. Supreme Court.
