America is no longer a "melting pot," at least according to the University of Wisconsin in Stevens Point.

In fact, that phrase "melting pot" is being labeled as a racial "microaggression."

TheCollegeFix.com reports some other banned phrases from the university's list include:

  • "Where are you from?"
  • "I believe the most qualified person should get the job."
  • "Everyone can succeed in this society if they work hard enough."

Those phrases are now considered to be racial aggression because they could be misconstrued by immigrants or people of varying ethnicities.

The University of California has created a similar list. They even rejected the phrase, "America is the land of opportunity."
