The U.S. House could vote as early as Wednesday on whether to arm Syrian rebels to help in the fight against ISIS.

The Obama administration says arming the rebels is needed in addition to U.S. airstrikes against the terrorists.

On Monday, more than two dozen other nations pledged to help Iraq fight ISIS.

Secretary of State John Kerry also said the United States is open to talks with Iran about resolving the crisis, though he has ruled out any military coordination as an option.

France and Iraq see Shiite Iran as a force against the Sunni ISIS, but other Arabic countries like Saudi Arabia disagree.
