Pakistani School Reopens after Horrific Attack
12-31-1969
Pakistani children who witnessed last month's horrific Taliban attack are preparing to head back to school Monday.
Pakistan Army Chief Gen. Raheel Sharif greeted students returning to the Army Public School in Peshawar. A ceremony marking the school's reopening memorialized victims of the terror attack.
On December 16, seven Taliban gunmen went from classroom to classroom, opening fire on students and teachers, killing 152 (133 of whom were children) and injuring 120.
Since the attack, tighter security measures have been put in place.
Classes will resume officially on Tuesday.
