Anonymous Hackers Pledge Cyber War on ISIS
The hacker group Anonymous is allegedly planning to take on ISIS in a massive cyber war.
In an unverified video posted on YouTube, a spokesperson wearing the groups signature mask and speaking in French warns ISIS that their attack on Paris will not go unpunished.
"Anonymous worldwide will track you. Yes, you the vermin who kill poor innocent people," the spokesperson says.
"Wait, then, for a massive response from Anonymous. Know that we will find you and we will hold nothing back. We will launch our biggest operation ever against you. Wait for many cyber attacks. War has been declared. Prepare yourselves and know the French people are stronger," he continues.
The "hacktivist" group made similar threats after the Charlie Hebdo attacks in January, a Belgian offshoot of the group then boasting about shuting down thousands of alleged ISIS supporters Twitter and Facebook accounts.
Anonymous first emerged in 2003. The group says its goal is to help spread the word about what is really happening in modern societies today.
