CBN.com As a devout Muslim, Amadou had worshipped Allah with his whole heart.
"I believed that was the only way to be saved, and I also practiced traditional animist spells too. The two were very powerful in my life," says Amadou.
But recently, Amadou noticed that something in his wife, Massiata had changed.
"Evidently, everyone in the family -- the children, even the neighbors noticed the difference in her life," remembers Amadou.
Months earlier, a CBN evangelist with a video projector came to the village with a message the people had never heard before.
Amadou didn’t know his wife had attended the meetings.
"As I watched the CBN programs, I realized that Jesus came into the world and loved me. So I gave my life to him," says Massiata. "I felt such joy that evening. It continued in my life, and there was great peace in my family after my conversion."
Massiata was one of the 200 people who received Jesus as Savior that night.
Amadou attended the next CBN outreach to his village and after watching the CBN video, he prayed not to receive Christ, but that God would prove Himself by giving him a bountiful harvest.
Amadou had grown cotton since he was a boy, and he wanted to find out whether the God of the Christians was able to answer his prayer. But by the next morning, he was ready to surrender his heart to Christ.
"When I made the decision for Christ, I was filled with joy. I just knew that I’d had an experience that changed my life," says Amadou.
And when the harvest came a few months later, Amadou brought it a bountiful crop.
"I received ten tons of cotton this year, compared to three or four. This was miraculous because it was greater than any harvest we had ever had," says Amadou.
"CBN has been a major blessing to us.
I find video evangelism powerful and important because it shows that Christ loves the world, and He is the answer to our problems," says Massiata.
