Emergency Aid for Iraqi Christians Escaping ISIS
KURDISTAN – As ISIS threatens Christians and minority groups in Iraq, thousands of families are fleeing with only the clothes on their backs—in desperate search of safety.
Many Christian families fleeing for their lives have taken refuge in Erbil, Kurdistan, where a local church has opened its doors to those in need.
Operation Blessing is aiding Iraqi families who have been forced to flee by supplying much-needed food for hungry children and supporting the church in Kurdistan that has become a shelter through the construction of additional restroom facilities and showers.
"The building is for the humanity," the pastor told news reporters after opening the church doors to Christians and non-Christians in need of safe shelter.
