June has always been an enterprising woman. In Thailand, she
had a small laundry business and big dreams. But when a flood destroyed
her village, June lost her home and her only way to make a living.
“It was a terrible, terrible time,” remembers June. “People
were crying, looking for their lost loved ones. I survived, but I lost
everything that I had.
June was offered a job as a live in housekeeper by a Christian woman.
“I’ve never met anyone so genuinely kind,” says June.
“I felt the love of God through her.”
June soon surrendered herself to Jesus Christ - and knew she wanted
to do something more with her life.
I knew that god had prepared something better for me. I just needed
a good break.
The opportunity came when an Operation Blessing worker visited June
and learned of her situation.
“I told them that I wanted to be more independent,” says
June. “Maybe, if I had a small push cart, I could sell food on
street corners. I believe that God wants to prosper his people.”
Moved by the faith, and perseverance of this lady, Operation Blessing
went a step further and provided June with a motorbike with a side car.
It was modified to serve as a mobile crepe shop.
“God gave me the whole package,” says June. “It was
much more than I expected!”
That gift, says June, sparked something in her. So she enrolled in a
crepe cooking class to improve her skills. Finally, she was all set
to open her business!
And her crepes were a big hit. “God has blessed me,” says
June. “I have a lot of customers. Sometimes I can’t keep
up with the demand!
Today, June makes about 700 dollars a month, ten times more than she
used to earn cleaning houses. And her outlook on life has completely
changed.
“We may go through tough times in life, but don’t stop
dreaming,” sasy June. “Work hard and pray hard. God wants
to bless us. We just have to be ready for His blessing!”
